Hi,

I need some help with adding Reporter field in my Testiny. Even though my Jira is integrated, still I am unable to view it.

The fields shown in the Testiny Jira integration come directly from your Jira instance, see the following example:

Have you checked which fields are in the “Select fields” drop down?

I am not seeing any option for the select fields option either in defect or in requirement.

This looks like the meta-data from Jira (containing the field definitions) cannot be loaded.
Did you get any error messages saying something in that regard?

Make sure that the Jira user you use for the integration (the one you created the API key with) has all the necessary rights for the whole project - maybe try even for the whole integration.

Can you please check that your Jira integration settings are correct:

  • Is the API key still valid?
  • Can the user access the Jira project and create work items?

Hi,

yes we can link requirement and defects, it happens when I select create.

Also, user does have access to the Jira project.

If linking works, but creation does not work, make sure that the Jira user is allowed to create issues, i.e. the user is not a read-only user.

Hi Bisma, remember that after any changes to the Jira side of your integration that affects required fields, a new api key must be created to reflect those changes.
