Hi, I’m trying to create a defect from Testiny, and the reporter field is showing as a search box instead of a dropdown. When I type the name of the user no results are displayed; I typed my full name as it is shown in Jira but when I pushed the defect to Jira, the name of the user that created the api token is displayed and I need to manually change it from there.
Is the search bar a new feature? About 6 weeks ago when we had a demo with you guys it was a dropdown list and all the reporter names were listed there.
No, the search field for the reporter is not a new feature. You should be able to just type in part of the name of a Jira user, then you get a list of matching users to select.
The selected user will then show as reporter (or author, depending on Jira language) for the issue.
I saw following error message for the auto-complete call from your organization that may be the cause:
“The query parameter ‘username’ is not supported in GDPR strict mode.”
Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Server?
If Jira Server/DC, then which version?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Alex
Hi Alex, we use Jira Cloud, but I found the issue. The integration user wasn’t included in the global permissions list for the Browse users and groups section.
