Hi, I have a typical request.
For a given Test run, specific to a release version, I have to run the same test at least 10 times. There are chances that my test might fail 3 times in 10… Is there a provision to see it in the Tool… ?
during the discussion with Chris, he mentioned the “Milestones” section coming up… is this something for the same ?
This is one of the key feature, we are looking for !!
Hi,
It really depends on your process and your liking how to perform multiple iterations in Testiny:
- you just change the result of the test case within the same test run multiple times, e.g. “Failed” → “Not run” → “Failed” → “Not run” → “Passed”. Testiny will show you all changes in the history and the test run report (provided you enable the “History” in the report settings)
- or you can create a new test run for every iteration (duplicating the test run will help you). If you create the test run from a test plan, you will also see a chart of the test run results in the test plan overview.
Milestones may help you in the latter case in a way that you can group multiple test runs together, but you can already now duplicate test runs and just give them similar names to “group” them.
Regards,
Alex
