Ability to flag specific part of Gherkin feature that failed

We really enjoy the new syntax verification and highlighting for Gherkin in the latest release. Our intent is to write the test plans to be run manually by testers until an automated test implementation can be made.

With that in mind, the Gherkin support lacks two main bits of functionality:

For manual testing, a guide when running the test that steps through scenario by scenario (not a big deal).

The ability to highlight which part of the test plan failed, the same way you can say which step of a step test plan failed. This could be the line of the feature, or the name of the scenario - but something a bit more precise than just marking the overall test as failure.

That’s actually a feature that did not make the cut on the first release, mainly because the anchoring (feature name vs line vs feature index) wasn’t clear.
Given enough votes on this topic, we will gladly revisit that feature :slight_smile:
