"Create defect" in integrated issue tracker (Jira, Redmine, ...): Include attachments

Most failed tests include documentation as screenshots or other attachments that are helpful or necessary to understand the issue. When using the “Create defect” functionality to open a ticket in the integrated issue tracker (Jira, Redmine, …), it is possible to include test steps and comments to the description. Attachments are missing despite their high value for developers to understand the issue.

Yes, this is correct, no attachments can be added when creating an issue.

Unfortunately, the systems we integrate with (Jira, Azure, Linear, …) handle images/attachment very differently, and also the upload restrictions (permissions, file sizes, rate limits, …) are very different and often very strict. Consequently, it’s currently just not feasible for us to support automatic uploading of images during issue creation.

However, when creating an issue, Testiny puts a backlink to the test case in Testiny into the description, so you can easily navigate to Testiny and see all the information from the test there. We do offer Viewer only seats at a very attractive pricing that can be used for users that only want to view information in Testiny.
