"Create Testplan" should be possible from Test case folder

Currently, i can only create runs directly from the Test cases, by selecting the cases, then clicking on the drop down menu of “create test run” and the selecting the “selected test cases option”

I would like there to also be a Create testplan option directly in the “Test cases” tab.

Current problem i face due to the missing feature:
If i create the run directly, i can not add it to a test plan later, since testplan can only include runs which are started from the testplan itself.
I always add my cases to the plan first an then create different runs depending on my need.

Can you just give a bit more context, so we can think of how we that fits best into the product?

  • Do you use the test plan to track test cases belonging to a specific feature or release?
  • Do you use folders in the test cases view?
  • What it also make sense to create a test plan from a test run instead?
