Custom Dashboard for Test Case Automation Status

Hello,

I would like to request a feature enhancement regarding dashboards and reporting.

In our project, we use custom fields on test cases to track different attributes related to automation. For example, we have fields such as:

  • Platform (e.g., Android, iOS, Web)

  • Whether the test case is automatable

  • Automation status (e.g., automated, not automated, planned, etc.)

We use these fields to monitor our automation progress and understand the current state of our test coverage.

It would be very helpful if Testiny supported custom dashboards or advanced dashboard widgets that could aggregate and visualize this information. For example, a dashboard that could show:

  • Total number of test cases

  • Number of automatable test cases per platform (e.g., Android)

  • Number of automated test cases for that platform

  • Remaining automatable but not yet automated test cases

  • Overall automation progress

A concrete example would be a widget like:

“Out of all automatable Android test cases, how many have already been automated?”

This kind of dashboard would allow us to quickly track our automation coverage and remaining automation work, which would be very valuable for planning and reporting.

Please let me know if something similar is already possible with existing dashboard features or if this could be considered as a future enhancement.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards

Welcome to the Testiny forum and thank you for your feedback!

Right now the dashboard is not customizable, sorry, but an extension of the dashboard is on the roadmap. We will try to consider this request provided it’s voted up a little.
There’s currently no planned date when we will address this feature, yet, but the more votes the topic gets the earlier

So, if you read this and would also like to have this feature, please upvote this topic and/or leave a comment. We do prioritize features which are highly requested from our community, so your vote counts  Thank you!

Best regards,
Alex
