First, you can already link defects to automation results now and these links will also show up in Jira if you have the Testiny Jira Addon installed. See more in the Testiny docs:
Second, regarding connection automation test cases with manual test cases, we are actively working on this feature, see the following feature request:
So, I’m pretty confident that we will soon have all that functionality in Testiny
