Currently when linking an item to Jira we need to choose either Requirement or Defect. For Test Runs there is only defect.
Often we just want to link something to Jira, not assigning it as a “Defect” or “Requirement”. We just want want a link to show where to go to see the test, which is important for tracking. Especially when used with areas like Jira boards or sprint items.
This is especially relevant for Test Runs. We want to show in Jira what test runs are assigned to a planned work item and what the current test status is so a Jira user can see at a glance the test progress.
Also currently these links will show up as defects in Milestones, which gives the impression that there were many bugs found, where in fact they are just links to / from Jira.
Of course we could just paste a url to the test case / run, but that defeats the point of Jira integration and also the status wouldn’t be displayed.
