Search by content of test case

Hi, team

I want to search for keywords inside of test cases content in fields: precondition, steps, expected result. Additional also search inside of comment field inside of test run.

Is there a way to get results?

It’s actually a bug: if you don’t have the milestones feature enabled, it still searches for milestones.
We will fix this right away with the next service release.

Hi and welcome to the Testiny forum!

Unfortunately, this functionality is not available (yet) in the Testiny UI.
There’s already a feature request for such functionality and a current workaround, too, see this post:

TC content search function

There is a hidden search feature that you could use as a workaround: Open the dev console in the browser tab that you’re logged in to Testiny with (F12) type await testiny.search("my search term") This basically performs such a full text search already and shows tables of results (there’s just no nice UI for it, yet). Hi,

good information to know, the search is well triggered but unfortunately, it fails with this error and no results are displayed:

Search failed: API_NOT_SUPPORTED(403): Required features ‘milestones’ are not available or enabled

I guess it requires a paid plan that I do not have right now.
