It seems that Viewer users are unable to generate reports for a test run or export the test run as a file. At the very least, the buttons for doing so are missing. Would it be possible to allow viewer users to perform these actions for test runs they have access to?

1Hi Ben,
You are right, viewers are not entitled to create reports or export data. As part of our business model we can provide a viewer role at a very competitive seat price, but this requires a reduced feature set for that role.
So unfortunately, at the moment we do not plan to enable resource intensive features like reports or exports also for viewers.
That said, we plan to provide a way to store reports (triggered by a full user) on the Testiny server and viewers would then also be able to view/download these reports.
As always, thank you for your suggestion! And if anybody else reads this topic and shares your feature wish, please leave a comment and/or upvote this topic. Thank you!
Best regards,
Alex
Would it be possible to add a role for "reporter"? The original desire was to give the user access to the solution in a read only fashion, including being able to generate reports. The Runner role wouldn't be appropriate as we specifically don't want them to be able to add results. We'd be happy to have this as a fully paid seat, we just need the specific set of access restrictions.
– Ben_GruberUnfortunately, this is currently not possible, because it would require a custom role with the specified permissions. Our permission system in the backend is already prepared for such a feature - which is also on the roadmap already -, but it's currently not available to clients to be changed, so it's basically hard-coded for now. I'm sorry!
