Viewing links to test cases from Linear?

I understand I can link to issues in Linear from Testiny. Is there any way to look at an issue in Linear and figure out what test coverage it has with the linked test cases?

Unfortunately, there is no such view available in Linear right now.

I guess you would like a similar functionality as in the Testiny Jira Add-On?

The vice-versa approach is possible with the new Milestone feature, see here for more info:

Best regards,

I have PMs and other managers who have no interest logging into another tool to see test coverage, and would much rather glance at an issue in Linear to figure out if they’ve been taken care of by a QA engineer or not.

Annoyingly (and probably by design by engineers there who have past trauma from Jira) Linear doesn’t allow custom fields, or the notion of “linking” to external URLs. Even having the Testiny integration provide a quick automated comment with a link back to the test case would be divine and save me a lot of time.

Thanks!

When you create a Linear issue from Testiny, the Linear issue by default contains a link back to Testiny, i.e. to the test case (requirement) or the test run (defect).

However, I understand your feature request. I’ll move this to the App Feedback section as a feature request for others to vote on it.

If somebody reads this request and would also like to have this feature, make sure to vote for this topic. We do consider the number of votes for feature requests in our roadmap and priority planning.

Best regards,
Alex

Thank you. This is one of those “please take my money” features.
